Pedro M. Cardona Roig is a licensed architect, urbanist and planner.
Bachelor in Fine Arts and Architecture Diploma with honors from the respected Rhode Island School of Design and recipient of the AIA’s Henry Adams Certificate of Merit; Master of Architecture in Urban Design from the esteemed Harvard University Graduate School of Design, Diploma with distinction and recipient of the Druker Travelling Fellowship and Thesis Prize amongst other distinctions.
Over 30 of experience in architecture and planning, making his occupation to design buildings, project cities and supervising the artificers employed. Former President of the Puerto Rico’s Architects and Landscape Architects Association, licensed architect and former member of the American Institute of Architects. Cardona Roig expert in the design and organization of urban spaces, interaction of human activities, community creation, pedestrian environments, transit oriented developments and land use with a global presence and recognition. Council member to the International Federation of Housing and Planning in Copenhagen Denmark. Pedro M Cardona Roig projects communities, neighborhoods, cities and regions in a socially balance and environmentally sound, sustainable manner. Recognized and awarded Urban Designer, member of the Form-Based Code Institute. Reputed formulator of programs for a definite course of action. Professor at the Architecture Program, Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico, former professor at the University of Puerto Rico: Architecture (undergraduate and graduate programs), Planning (graduate program), Environmental Sciences (IGERT doctorate program). Eloquent and knowledgeable frequent lecturer in Puerto Rico and abroad, having lectured in Spain, Portugal, Brazil, Denmark, Germany, Singapore and the United States of America.
